Emanoel Querette
Emanoel Querette (in the team 2015-2017) currently serves as a Research Associate at the Brazilian Association of Science Parks and Business Incubators (Anprotec). He holds a doctoral degree in Public Policies, Strategies, and Development from the Institute of Economics of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil. Additionally, he has a Master’s (with distinction) in Public Policies for Science Technology and Innovation from the SPRU Science Policy Research Unit, University of Sussex, UK. He is a Chevening Alumni and was awarded the Geoffrey Oldham SPRU’s Excellent Dissertation Prize in 2011.
As an independent researcher, Emanoel has participated in research projects including: economic analyses for the 2022 Creative Industry Mapping of the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Firjan, Brazil); the improvement of the Informatics Law, which is the national framework of incentives for the ICT sector, for the Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology (MCT); evaluating and proposing a renewed National Program for Supporting Innovation Ecosystems in Brazil (PNI/MCT); the ‘Industry 2027’ project of the Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI), which focused on the future of the ICT sector and the impacts of new digital technologies on industrial sectors in Brazil; and proposing Public Policies for the Brazilian Digital Games Industry, with funding from BNDES, the Brazilian Development Bank.
