Chiara Focacci

Chiara Natalie Focacci completed her PhD in Economics & Law at the University of Bologna, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and University of Hamburg with a thesis focused on reskilling policies. She also holds a MSc in Economic & Social History from the University of Oxford. She’s affiliated to the Law & Economics Centre at ETH Zurich and the Division of Aging at Linköping University. From January to December 2017, she conducted research on the intertwining between financial and production capital in US and UK for the SSTR project.

She also worked with Carlota Perez from March 2020 to March 2021 in the Horizon 2020 Beyond 4.0 project on welfare and educational measures put in place in each technological revolution. Her research focuses on digitalization, the future of work, and the green economy and has published in international peer-reviewed journals. Currently, she works at HEC Liège and the European University Institute.
